Patrick Soon-Shiong, Vice President Biden May Team On Cancer Cure

Los Angeles billionaire Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong and Vice President Joseph Biden are looking to team up to cure cancer for good, now that Vice President Biden has elected not to run for President. According to a report in the New York Times, Biden's interest in curing cancer stems from the loss of his son, Beau Biden, in May, to brain cancer. Soon-Shiong had advised the Biden family in treatments from the younger Biden. Dr. Soon-Shiong is very familiar to those in Southern California's technology, biotech and startup world, having created NantWorks, a large collection of companies, many of which are specifically developing treatments or biotechnology around treating cancer.
