Peekaboo VR Plans Virtual World For Children
Los Angeles-based Peekaboo VR says it is launching a brand new, immersive virtual world it says is targeted at children. According to the startup, the company has launched a 360 degree space, which features content both in 3D and traditional monoscopic views, to teach children about things such as evolution and space exploration. The new space is being developed by Julian Sarmiento, who has worked on visual effects for I, Robot, The Polar Express, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, and other films; the company's co-founder is Pia Lindstrom of the Cult Collective. As of press time, the world was not accessible to the public.
