Chatsworth-based Pentadyne Power, which develops flywheel energy storage systems, said earlier this week that it has appointed Mark Campion as Executive Vice President and CFO. Campion was most recently CFO of PolyFuel, a Silicon Valley firm developing membranes for fuel cells. According to Pentadyne, Campion helped guide PolyFuel's initial public offering the London Stock Exchange (AIM). Pentadyne's power systems are used for temporary power and uninterruptible power supplies in data centers; the firm's flywheels are an alternative to traditional batteries.
