PetCo Buys Pet Advice Website, PetCoach

San Diego-based pet supply retailer PetCo said on Monday that it has acquired the operator of a pet advice website and app, PetCoach. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. PetCoach's website helped pet owners get answers to health and wellness questions from veterinarians and other professionals. PetCoach was venture backed by Comcast Ventures, Maveron, and DreamIt Ventures. Brock Weatherup, PetCoach co-founder and CEO, joins PetCo as Executive Vice President, Strategic Innovation & Digital Experience.
