Provide Commerce Opens New Site

San Diego-based Provide Commerce, operators of the popular ProFlowers e-commerce site, said today that the firm has launched a new marketplace for providers of perishable goods. The firm said that its new Secret Spoon marketplace will offer cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, cakes, and other confections for nationwide delivery. The company is targeting a similar model to its ProFlowers service, where consumers order and are directly shipped flowers. This service will do the same with chocolates and other items.
