Punchcard Gets Award

Punchcard, the developer of mobile loyalty and rewards applications which is backed by Idealab, has won an award at an industry conference, the firm said this week. Punchcard said it won the Future Stars award at the BIA Kelsey Leading in Local conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago, after competing in a "Shark Tank" style demo session. Punchcard, which was founded by Andy Steuer, develops mobile applications which are used by local retailers to encourage repeat visits to their locations; the company's app revolves around taking pictures of receipts from various retailers and getting a chance to win different prizes and rewards. Punchcard is based in Pasadena.
