Pasadena-based Punchcard, the Idealab startup developing mobile apps to encourage customer loyalty at retail businesses, announced today that it has launched a new product, Punchcard for Business. The firm said the new software helps local merchants gain insights into customer purchasing behavior, and the ability to push offers to consumers' smart phones via its app. Pricing on the new product was not disclosed. The new app is aimed at providing analytics and information to local businesses, to better understand who their customers are and how to get them to become a repeat customer. Punchcard is headed by Andy Steuer, and offers businesses a way to reward repeat customers with incentives, including coupons, free items, and more. The firm's apps run on both Android and iPhone.
