QLogic Partners With Alactritech On TOE

Aliso Viejo-based QLogic and Alacritech said today that the companies have entered into a partnership to provide 10 Gigabit TCP Offload Engines for the storage market. QLogic has licensed Alactritech's TCP offload patents for its host bus adapters (HBAs). Financial terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed. QLogic is a mnaufacturer of equipment for the storage area networking industry; Alacritech develops TCP/IP offload technology, which is heavily used in the network-attached storage and iSCSI storage device market.
