San Diego-based Qualcomm said late Thursday that it has acquired DesignArt Networks, a developer of small cell modem and system design for the cellular base station market. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. DesignArt is based in Ra'anana, Israel, and develops both systems-on-a-chip and software products. Qualcomm said that DesignArt's products ars used to enable the design of indoor and outdoor small cell base stations and remote radio heads.
