Qualcomm Goes To ITC Against Nokia

San Diego-based Qualcomm has extended its patent battle against Nokia, saying that it has filed a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) alleging that Nokia Corp and Nokia Inc have engaged in unfair trade practices. Qualcomm is looking for an investigatoin into Nokia's imports, and is also seeking an Exclusion Order to bar import of NOkia handsets into the U.S. The new move follows Qualcomm's patent suit against Nokia, which it filed in November of 2005. The two have been locked in battle over technology related to GSM, GPRS, and EDGE cellular telephone standards.
