    Qualcomm To Invest Euro 100 Million In European Ventures


    QUALCOMM, the San Diego-based wireless giant, said today that it has committed to invest euro 100 million in European companies offering technologies and services in the wireless arena. The firm said that it will focus on small- to medium-sized enterprises and startups serving the 3G WCDMA market. The venture capital investments will go towards mobile application/platform software developers, handset components, network infrastructure, and core technology providers. As part of the fund, QUALCOMM said that it has invested in Streamezzo, a provider of rich media platforms for the mobile market.
