San Diego-based Qualcomm has won an injunction against Maxim Integrated Products, in a case where Qualcomm claimed Maxim had misappropriated trade secrets of Qualcomm. According to Qualcomm, the preliminary injunction prohibits Maxim from misappropriation of Qualcomm's CDMA technology. The court, however, denied Qualcomm's request to bar Maxim from sale of two of its specific chip lines for a year. Qualcomm and Maxim have been in a patent suite relating to RF chips for wireless products, which is scheduled to go to trial in June.
