Quartics Shows Wireless TV Technology
Irvine-based Quartics, the system-on-a-chip semiconductor startup headed by former AST founder Safi Qureshey, rolled out new products at CES yesterday, including a new wireless PDA-to-display product, a wireless PC-to-HDTV device, and new media software. The firm showed PC2TV, the company's technology for wirelessly sending HD content to displays and TVs alongside D-Link, which is incorporating the firm's technology into its PC-on-TV player product; D-Link is shipping the PC-on-TV device as part of its Media Lounge product line. Quartics also showed Mobile2Display, a new technology for connecting Windows Mobile-based PDAs to projectors, TVs, and other displays. Quartics is venture backed by Enterprise Partners and Foundation Capital.
