Quest Acquires Imceda
Irvine-based Quest Software has acquired Massachusetts-based Imceda Software, a provider of database administration and development products for SQL Server, for $61M. The cash and stock deal calls for Quest to pay 20 percent in stock and the remainder in cash. Quest is a provider of database management and other software management tools. Quest said that it will integrate Imceda's SQL Server backup and recovery tools into its existing line of SQL Server diagnostic and management software. Imceda also provides SQL performance, development, and search applications.
