Quest Software Makes Email Archiving Buy

Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software has acquired an email archiving firm, AfterMail, based in Wellington New Zealand, for approximately $14.7M in cash and up to $30M cash in performance-based earn out over three years. Quest said that it will use the acquisition to expand the number of email platforms supported by its existing email archiving software. Quest said that it will retain AfterMail's New Zealand product development team, and establish a New Zealand sales office.
