    RadioShack to Offer MovieBeam

Burbank-based MovieBeam, the venture-backed Walt Disney spinout developing a digital entertainment delivery system for movies, said today that RadioShack has agreed to sell the firm's movies-on-demand system in its stores. Radio Shack will sell MovieBeam's systems in 1700 neighborhood stores in 31 major metropolitan areas across the country. MovieBeam's system uses broadcast television signals to transfer movies to a dedicated device connected to a user's television. The firm is backed by The Walt Disney Company, Cisco Systems, Intel Corporation, Mayfield Fund, Norwest Venture Partners and VantagePoint Venture Partners.
