    Razer Invests In Computer Gamers

San Diego-based computer gaming accessories company Razer said today that it has committed to one million dollars in sponsorships for professional and amateur gamers for 2006. The firm said that it will sponsor tournaments, teams, and individual players next year across the globe, including both providing equipment, travel support, and full time salaries for computer gamers. The move is not a surprising one as video gamers are finding their hobbies are increasingly attracting sponsorships and leading to full time, sports-like promotions and industry support. Razer develops computer mice and other computer peripherals focused on the computer gamer.
