RealD, Samsung Team On 3D Display Technology

Los Angeles-based RealD, the developer of 3D movie projection technology, and consumer electronics giant Samsung said Tuesday that the two have teamed up to jointly develop a new, 3D display technology they are calling RDZ. The two said the new technology will provide high resolution 3D video displays, compatible with RealD's existing 3D eyewear used in movie theaters. The two firms said they will be demonstrating the 3D displays at CES this week. Samsung and RealD did not say when they plan on shipping products using the 3D technology.
