RealD Wins Giant Install Deal In China

Los Angeles-based 3D movie projection technology developer RealD is reporting this morning that it has signed its largest, ever, 3D installation agreement ever, in China, with Wanda Cinema Line Corporation. According to RealD, Wanda has committed to install its 3D technology on a total of 5,600 screens throughout China. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Wanda already has 1,600 screens with RealD's technology installed, and plans to install 4,000 new screens over the next four years. RealD said the deal will bring its total number of installed screens to 32,000 screens in 72 countries.
