REC Solar, the developer of solar modules and provider of solar installation services which has its U.S. headquarters in San Luis Obispo, said today that it has been selected to received $8.53M in grants from the Clean Energy Research Program (CERP), from the country of Singapore. The firm said the grants will go towards optimizing its manufacturing process, working with partner ASM Technology Singapore Pte Ltd. REC--whose global headquarters are in Norway--said the award came from the Singapore Energy Innovation Program Office (EIPO).
