Red Herring Names Southern California Firms To Finalists

The Red Herring magazine has named a number of Southern California-based firms to its annual list of Red Herring 100 North America finalists. The magazine said this week that Amp'd Mobile, DriveCam, Entropic Communications, iRise, MovieBeam, Nereus Pharmaceuticals, Newport Media, Revver, SpotRunner, Streamload, TagWorld, Tarari, and Xencor had been named to its finalists list, all Southern California's technology firms. Red Herring awards companies annually recognizing the companies its editorial staff thinks reflect the most promising innovations. The 13 companies listed were slightly up from the 10 companies selected last year from the region.
