Rent.com Targets College Market
Santa Monica-based Rent.com is targeting college students with a new promotion, offering $100 to students who use the site to find an off-campus aprtment. The service said that it has added a new search-by-university feature which allows users to search for available rooms by specifying a university to search around. The new feature locates apartments adjacent to colleges and universities listed in Rent.com's database. Rent.com was acquired by eBay in 2004.
