ReVison Optics Hits 1,000 Vision Implant Milestone

Lake Forest-based Revision Optics reports that it has just hit the 1,000th procedure using its corneal inlays. The company's Raindrop Near Vision Inlay is used to correct presbyopia, the inability to focus on nearby objects. The company said those 1,000 procedures were all performed since its commercial launch in August of last year. The company's implants help reduce the need for reading glasses for patients, and according to the firm can be placed in a 10-minute outpatient procedure in a patient's non-dominant eye.
