RightScale Lands $15.6M More

Santa Barbara-based RightScale, the developer of cloud computing management software headed by Michael Crandell, has raised $15.6M in a new round of funding, according to a regulatory filing by the company. Details on the funding have not yet been announced by the company. RightScale's software is used by companies to monitor, deploy, and manage their cloud applications, including both public and private clouds.

RightScale is venture backed by Benchmark Capital, Index Ventures, and Tenaya Capital. The firm has now raise $58.10M in funding. The company last announced a round--a Series C funding--back in September of 2010. The regulatory filing indicates that eight investors participated in the newest round.
