    Ripe Digital Entertainment Joins Joost


    Los Angeles-based Ripe Digital Entertainment, a venture-backed online producer of digital video, announced today that it will bring its three content networks to the Joost Internet television service. Joost, the latest startup from Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom, founders of Internet calling service Skype, offers high-quality Internet television. Ripe said its RipeTV, OctaneTV, and FlowTV services will be available on the Joost service. All three services from Ripe offer professionally produced, short-form programming. Ripe is venture backed by Columbia Capital, Hearst-Argyle, Rho Ventures, and Time Warner.
