    Ripple Announces $5M Funding

El Segundo-based Ripple, which develops and distributes programming for digital networks, has raised $5M in funding. The firm, which actually closed the round back in August of last year but declined to discuss the funding with socalTECH, was formerly known as ActiveMaps. Funding came from Trinity Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Ripple broadcasts content, including headlines news and entertainment to retail locations like The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Diedrich Coffee, and Jiffy Lube.
