Rocket Lab Sets Up Orbital Launch Site

Los Angeles-based Rocket Lab, a venture-backed startup which is developing commercial launch vehicles specifically aimed at delivering small satellites into space, said it has set up an orbital launch site. The company said it plans to build a launch site Kaitorete Spit in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island, to support future launches of its launch vehicle. Rocket Lab is venture backed by Khosla Ventures, K1W1, Bessemer Venture Partners and Lockheed Martin.
