Romeo Power Raises $30M For Energy Storage

Vernon-based Romeo Power, a new startup focused on developing battery-based, energy storage, has raised $30M in a seed funding round. Soure of the funding was not announced. Romeo Power, led by founder and CEO Michael Patterson, claims it already has $65M in orders on the books for delivery in 2018. The company is developing cylindrical, Lithium-ion battery packs for use both in electric cars, trucks, buses, and forklifts, as well as for energy storage. The company says its founders previously worked at such companies as SpaceX, Tesla, Apple, Amazon and Samsung. More information »
