    RoyaltyShare Acquires Musicalc

San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, a provider of digital music royalty tracking services, said today that it has acquired Musicalc, a UK-based provider of royalty accounting software for the music industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. RoyaltyShare said the acquisition would expand its European presence. MusicCalc was established in 1982, as a developer of PC-based software. RoyaltyShare said that it will maintain Musicalc's offices in Surrey, and is looking to open a London-based office. The acquisition of Musicalc is the second for the firm this year; last month, RoyaltyShare acquired Los Angeles-based Digital Entertainment & Arts LLC (IDEA).
