RoyaltyShare Scores Funding From William Morris Agency

San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, which develops technology used by record labels to manage digital music royalties, said today that it has scored an investment from the William Morris Agency. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. RoyaltyShare said that the funding came as an extension of the firm's Series B financing round, which was led by Trident Capital and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI). RoyaltyShare's Series B funding originally closed in October of 2007. RoyaltyShare's technology trackes digital sales for record labels, content producers, distributors, and publishers, generating royalty reports for music sold through such as iTunes and Napster.
