    Sabeus Awarded $1.3M Naval Contract


    Chatsworth-based Sabeus Photonics announced that it has received a $1.3M development contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for development of a high strength fiber optic sensor array. The array would be used for sonar systems on US Navy nuclear submarines. Sabeus is a developer of fiber optic sensing technology, used for military surveillance and pipeline integrity and leak detections. The company's sensors work for pressure, temperature, seismic, and acoustic measurement.
