    SAIC Buys Defense Products Firm


    San Diego-based Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced this morning that it has acquired Applied Ordnance Technology, a Waldorf, Maryland firm. Applied Ornance develops products and services in the areas of ordnance and weapons systems engineering and design. Terms were not disclosed. SAIC is a major provider of research and engineering for the national security, homeland defense, and other government agencies.
