SendGrid, the provider of email infrastructure for application developers which has operations in Anaheim, said today that it has launched on the new Windows Azure Store. SendGrid said it would offer its email infrastructure management services through Microsoft's new store, which is aimed at application developers using Windows Azure, to help them connect into third party technology. SendGrid--whose three founders met at UC Riverside--handles transactional email delivery for application providers. The firm is based in Boulder, Colorado, but has major operations in Southern California, where the company's three founders reside. SendGrid is backed by Foundry Group, Highway 12 Ventures, and Bessemer Venture Partners.
