Newport Beach-based Sendio, a developer of appliances for reducing spam, has expanded into the software-as-a-service business, saying today that it has launched a new, hosted online service. The firm said its Sendio Full Defense service allows organizations to use the firm's software as a remotely hosted online service, starting at $200 for a contract. The company said it would charged on a per-user, per-month subscription basis, and will sell the service through its existing channel partners. The new service is being delivered from a data center in Orange County. Sendio is venture backed by Athenian Venture Partners, Vicente Capital Partners, Shepherd Ventures and Momentum Venture Management.
