SeQual Gets $4.35M In Funding

San Diego-based SeQual Technologies, a medical devices firm developing a portable oxygen system, has raised an investment round from new and existing investors. The firm said that the fund received $4.35M in a first closing of a $5M private placement. Funding came from private investors, and $2M from CAC, a La Jolla-based investment firm. SeQual is developing oxygen systems for the health care field, which are small and portable. The firm said that it will use the proceeds of the funding to expand the company's Sorrento Valley staff.
