    Sequoia Communicatons Raises $15M


    San Diego-based Sequoia Communications announced that the company has raised $15M in a Series D funding. The funding was led by Gabriel Ventures, and included investments from previous investors Nokia Venture Partners, Tallwood Venture Capital, Cadence Design Systems, and Huntington Ventures. Sequoia is developing multi-mode RF semiconductor technology that allows multiple wireless standards to be combined on a single chip solution. The company is targeting the RFIC semiconductor market with what it says is the most highly integrated multi-mode solution. Tim Chang of Gabriel Venture Partners will join the company's board.
