    ShopIt Adds App For AIM

Los Angeles-based ShopIt, which develops software which allows users to create storefronts for their social networking profiles, said today that it has released a new application focused on AOL's instant messenger service, AIM. According to ShopIt, its new application allows users to buy and sell goods from the AIM Buddy List; users can select items they'd like to sell and post them to their store for purchase. ShopIt explained that the new software is available for free download at AIM's web site, and does not cost anything to users of the service. ShopIt's applications also work on sites like MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, and Friendster.
