Sientra Scores $85M
Santa Barbara-based Sientra, a medical device developer focused on the plastic surgery and aesthetics medicine area, announced this morning that it has raised $85M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Orbimed Advisors, and also included Clarus Ventures, Goldman Sachs, and TIAA-CREF. The firm said that it has acquired Silimed, a developer of plastic surgery implants, in conjunction with the financing.
