Los Angeles-based Mobile Messenger said today that middle market investment fund Silver Lake Sumeru has acquired a majority stake in the firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Mobile Messenger is a provider of technology and services for managing mobile media distribution and billing. Mobile Messenger was advised by Montgomery & Co. and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in the deal; Silver Lake Sumeru was advised by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.
