Siminoff's Latest Project: POP Charger

Jamie Siminoff, the former CEO of Unsubscribe.com, has a new project, and--rather than angel of venture capital funding--he's turned to none other than Kickstarter to fund it. Siminoff launched POP, a project to create what he calls the "largest portable device charger available" on Kickstarter this week, looking to raise $50,000 to fund the effort. POP is a rechargable, portable battery with a 25,000 mAh battery, capable of charging multiple, electronic devices at once. POP's project page on Kickstarter says it expects to be able to charge 10 iPhones at a time using the device. The project is the first on Kickstarter for Siminoff, but it's not the first venture he's backed: he headed up Unsubscribe.com, selling it to TrustedID, and also was co-founder and CEO of SimulScribe, a developer of voice-to-text conversion products.
