    SimpleTech Expands In Malaysia


    Santa Ana-based SimpleTech said today that it is building a new manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia, in order to take advantage of a lower tax rate and lowering its overall cost structure. The firm said it will invest approximately $28M in Malaysia, for its 200,000 square foot facility. The government of Malaysia is giving the company an extended tax holiday as part of a comprehensive incentive package. SimpleTech is a manufacturer of Flash memory, DRAM, and external storage products.
