Sixgill Snag $27.9M

Santa Monica-based Sixgill, a developer of Internet-of-Things, sensor software, has raised $27.9M in a Series B funding round, the company said last week. The funding was led by DRW Venture Capital, and also included Mobile Financial Partners. Sensor is led by longtime tech veteran Phil Ressler, who previously has served at Bottlenose, Lumenz Networks, MyGreenlight, Big Stage Entertainment, Clearstone Venture Partners, and many other companies. Sixgill said its primary product, Sense, is used by companies to manage challenges in governing their "Internet of Everything" assets and building sensor-informed applications. Sixgill was formerly known as Zos Communications. The company has now raised a total of $33.90M. More information »
