Slingshot Aerospace Names Advisory Board

El Segundo- and Austin-based Slingshot Aerospace says it has named a Board of Advisors, which will provide it with counsel, advice, and support. The company--which develops software used for combining data from satellites, ground-based sensors, and their sources and applies machine learning and other techniques to improve analysis--said it added Chuck Beames, Karen Diener, Susan Helms, Moriba Jah, Keith Masback, Chris Mattmann, and Marissa Peretz to the new advisory group. Beames is Executive Chairman, York Space Systems and Founder & Chairman, SmallSat Alliance; Diener is CEO, KD Geospatial Solutions ; Susan Helms is a former NASA Astronaut; Jah is Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics, University of Texas; Keith Masback is Principal Consultant, Plum Run, LLC; Chris Mattmann is Information Technology CTO & Division Manager, AI, Analytics & Innovative Development Organization, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory; and Peretz is Co-Founder, Silicon Beach Talent. Slingshot is venture backed by ATX Venture Partners, Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Techstars Ventures, and Okapi Venture Capital, along with others.
