    SMARTpages.com Relaunches Site

Pasadena-based SBC SMARTpages.com this morning said that it has relaunched its web site with a new focus on local business search and consumer-focused content. The provider of yellow page directories said that its launch adds better search features, in-depth content, and more information in it search results. The company said that it is looking to make it easier for online consumers to connect with local businesses. The launch also includes revised, local city guides. Yellow Pages operators are struggling for relevance as online search engines like Google and Amazon's A9.com increasingly are offering local search content, and specialized local search engines like Pasadena-based InsiderPages.com also focused on the space. SMARTpages.com is a joint venture between SBC Yellow Pages and BellSouth Advertising and Publishing.
