SMC Adds Wireless Traveler's Kit

Irvine-based SMC Networks (www.smc.com) is now shipping a new 802.11g Wireless Traveler's Kit. The new product provides everything needed to connect to wired hotel broadband in a travel kit, including USB, Ethernet, power cords, and a device which converts any hotel wired broadband connection into a wireless access point. The new product plugs into hotel broadband and turns into a personal access point, without requiring wireless support from the hotel. The device also supports bridging functions for connecting networks, and security through Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).
