    SMC Ships Broadband Routers


    Irvine-bsaed SMC Networks (www.smc.com) said today that it is shipping two new additions to its line of secure broadband routers. The company's Barricade VPN 4-Port Broadband Router and the Barricade VPN 8-port Broadband Router are targeted at telecommuters and home users, and support creating secure Virtual Private Networking tunnels over the Internet. The company's new products provide firewall functionality, as well as a number of other security features including DMZ hosting, system logging, and e-mail alerts.
