    SMC Ships Wireless USB Print Server


    Irvine-based SMC Networks has released a new, 802.11g wireless print server. The firm said that its new EZ Connect 802.11g print server provides USB 2.0 network printing targeted at consumers, home offices, classrooms, or other businesses. The new device allows USB printers to be accessed via a wireless LAN or across the Internet. The print server is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP, Macintosh, Unix and Linux, and features Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and WPA and WPA2 security protocols. SMC said that the new devices is listed at $99.99 and is available now.
