Smith Micro Ships Digital Media Recovery Tool
Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software said yesterday that it has begun shipping MediaRECOVER 4.0, a file recovery tool focused on digital media. The new software provides recovery of pictures, music, and other data from memory cards, thumb drives, and digital film. Among the capabilities of the Mac and PC-compatible software are correction of data corruption and recovery of files which have been accidentally erased or reformatted. The new software is a result of a publishing agreement announced last month with MediaRECOVER LLC.
