    Snap Adds MySpace, RSS Widgets

Pasadena-based Snap.com, the online search engine company behind the popular Snap Preview web widgets, announced Tuesday afternoon that the firm has introduced two new widgets to the firm's "Snap Shots" program. The firm said that its new ProfileShot service adds preview of linked social networking profiles; and that its RSS Shot service shows instant preview of sites enabled with RSS feeds. The two new widgets are the latest in a series of web software applications the firm has been making available to web page designers and bloggers. Widgets are miniature web applications which can be included in personal web pages, blogs, and other web sites by simply copying and pasting a small amount of web code. Snap.com is backed by Idealab.
