SOA Software Trumpets Business Transactions Volume

Los Angeles-based SOA Software, the developer of service oriented architecture (SOA), cloud, and other enterprise API management software, said Tuesday that its products are now handling more than 50 billion business transactions per year. The firm pointed to the volume as proof that it's a "core part" of critical enterprise systems. SOA's software is used by companies to manage messages and transactions between business applications. It's unclear how that volume of usage translates into finances, product adoption, or other measures. However, the firm said it now counts such clients as American Express, Astra Zeneca, Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Credit Suisse, Disney, eBay, Intel, and many other household names as customers.
